Lakshman Prasad Acharya Becomes Manipur's New Governor

Lakshman Prasad Acharya was officially sworn in as the governor of Manipur during a ceremony on Wednesday. The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, Siddharth Mridul, in a formal event held at the Raj Bhavan.
In his address to reporters following the oath-taking ceremony, Acharya called on the people of Manipur to 'come forward with open minds and cooperate with each other to ensure peace and prosperity for the state.'
Acharya, who arrived in Imphal on Tuesday, was greeted with a warm welcome by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, marking the beginning of his tenure as governor.
