The girl, identified as Soumya, slipped into the borewell while playing in an agricultural field. After a strenuous five-and-a-half-hour rescue operation, she was retrieved but ultimately declared dead at a hospital.
Yadav announced the suspensions via social media, criticizing the negligence in verifying the safety of open borewells and reiterating the need for stricter regulations to prevent such tragedies in the future.
