Nepal Appoints New Ambassadors to Key Nations
The Nepalese government, led by Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, has appointed ambassadors for 13 countries. Shankar Sharma has been reappointed as Nepal's ambassador to India, while Lok Darshan Regmi and Krishna Prasad Oli have been nominated as ambassadors to the US and China respectively. All nominees require parliamentary approval.

Shankar Sharma, previously recalled by the former government, is reappointed as ambassador to India. Lok Darshan Regmi, former chief secretary, is nominated as envoy to the US.
Krishna Prasad Oli has been nominated as the ambassador to China. All appointees must undergo parliamentary hearings before their appointments can be ratified by the president.
