PIA Flight Attendant Caught in Currency Smuggling Scandal

A Pakistan International Airlines flight attendant has been placed on judicial remand after she was caught smuggling foreign currency at an airport in Punjab province. The incident occurred when Customs officials, acting on intelligence, discovered 140,000 Saudi riyals hidden in her socks during a body search.
The flight attendant was apprehended while preparing to board PIA's flight PK 203 from Lahore to Dubai. Customs officials immediately sought her custody and produced her before a magistrate on Saturday. An FIR was subsequently registered against her on the complaint of Customs officers.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the cabin crew member removing the concealed currency notes. If convicted, a PIA spokesperson stated that the air hostess would be terminated immediately.
