Police Nab Stabbing Suspects in Dramatic Ujjain Encounter

Two men accused of stabbing a police constable were arrested in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh after a brief encounter, resulting in injuries to one suspect and the constable. Both apprehended suspects have past criminal records, and a manhunt is ongoing for a third accomplice.

Two men, accused of stabbing a police constable, were arrested in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh after a brief encounter that left one suspect injured, an official announced on Saturday.

The injured constable is undergoing hospital treatment, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Pradeep Sharma. The encounter occurred at Neelganga police station on Friday night.

Three individuals accused of looting were intercepted on Thursday night. While fleeing, one suspect stabbed Constable Akash. Police, following a tip-off, located the suspects near Sawrakhedi on Friday night, leading to an armed confrontation that left one suspect with a bullet injury to his knee and another injured from falling off a motorcycle. Both suspects, who have past criminal records, were captured, and a search is underway for a third suspect. A pistol and live rounds were recovered at the scene.
