This evening, Deputy President Paul Mashatile is set to attend the BBQ Awards ceremony and Gala Dinner at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park. The event is dedicated to recognizing and promoting sustainable black business and transformation in South Africa.

The BBQ Awards, established over the past two decades, honor excellence in corporate governance, leadership, and achievement across ten categories. These include the Community Builder Award and the Digital Transformation Award. The ceremony celebrates the growth and success of black-owned and black-empowered companies, highlighting outstanding individuals and organizations.

Notable guests at the event include Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Commissioner Tshediso Matona, and Black Business Council President Elias Monage. The ceremony will be hosted by Professor JJ Tabane, Editor of BBQ Magazine.

The Presidency highlighted Deputy President Mashatile's role in fostering partnerships and cooperation among various sectors of South African society. His initiatives focus on economic development, women's and youth empowerment, and creating a thriving business environment.

The BBQ Awards 2024 are supported by a range of partners, including Mercedes Benz South Africa, Siyanda Resources, Industrial Development Corporation of SA, National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), The Reclamation Group, HER Wine Collection, Sentech, Nedbank, the University of Mpumalanga, and Bonitas Medical Fund.

The gala is expected to be a significant event celebrating the achievements and contributions of black businesses and leaders in South Africa.
