Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday lauded the valour and indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers who fought in the Kargil war, during an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas at the Surya Auditorium, Central Command, Cantt.
Addressing the 'Silver Jubilee Celebration', Adityanath highlighted the state's ongoing support for the families of soldiers who sacrificed their lives, providing financial aid and job opportunities. He stated, 'If our soldier is martyred in any war or while protecting the border, his family now receives Rs 50 lakh in assistance.'
The chief minister also announced projects dedicated to the memory of martyred soldiers, affirming 'our government has been ensuring to honor their legacy'. During the event, he honored the families of several war heroes, recognizing their tremendous sacrifice.
