Telangana Sub-Registrar Caught in Bribery Scandal

A woman sub-registrar in Warangal district of Telangana was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 on Thursday.
According to a release from ACB, the sub-registrar in Parkal of Warangal district had 'demanded and accepted' the amount through a private document writer from a complainant seeking an official favor.
The favor involved processing the registration of gift deeds and sale deeds pertaining to the complainant and his brother. The bribe amount was recovered from the document writer's possession, and an investigation is currently underway.
