Mohali Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of three individuals, including an Agniveer, in connection with a vehicle snatching case.

The suspects, identified as Agniveer Ishmeet Singh alias Ishu, Prabhpreet Singh alias Prabh, and Balkaran Singh, reportedly stole a car at gunpoint two days ago after booking a ride through an app.

During a press conference, Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Garg revealed that the trio used pepper spray on the driver's face during the theft in Mohali district.

Ishmeet Singh, originally from Punjab's Fazilka district, was on leave from his post in West Bengal and failed to return to duty. An investigation led to their arrest and recovery of stolen vehicles and a countrymade pistol.
