Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has unveiled a new strategy aimed at achieving comprehensive social justice through a saturation approach. The announcement was made on Tuesday as she presented the Union Budget for 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha.
The saturation approach aims to cover all eligible individuals through various programmes, including those associated with education and health. This is part of the government's commitment to an all-round, all-pervasive, and all-inclusive development, particularly targeting farmers, youth, women, and the poor.
Sitharaman stated that the implementation of existing schemes meant to support economic activities by craftsmen, artisans, SHGs, SC/ST and women entrepreneurs, and street vendors, such as PM Vishwakarma, PM SVAnidhi, NRLM, and Stand-UP India, will be intensified.
