Palestinian Factions Unite in Beijing Declaration

Various Palestinian factions have signed the Beijing Declaration to end their divisions and strengthen Palestinian unity. The reconciliation dialogue occurred in Beijing from July 21-23, with 14 factions including Fatah and Hamas. China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi was present at the event.

In a significant move towards unity, various Palestinian factions signed the Beijing Declaration on Tuesday morning in China. The declaration aims to end divisions and fortify Palestinian unity, according to Chinese state media.

The agreement was finalized at the closing ceremony of a reconciliation dialogue held in Beijing from July 21-23, as reported by state broadcaster CCTV. Leaders from 14 Palestinian factions, including rival groups Fatah and Hamas, were present and also addressed the media. China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the event, as reported by CGTN.

Prior to this, Hamas and Fatah had met in China in April to discuss reconciliation efforts, aiming to resolve disputes that have plagued them for around 17 years.
