The Pakistan Army has accused an 'organized political mafia' of disseminating false information about its new counter-terrorism initiative, 'Azm-e-Istehkam', designed to eliminate militancy and bolster economic stability.
In a press conference held in Rawalpindi, Army spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif highlighted the significance of the operation aimed at fostering economic growth. He also addressed certain pressing issues, including political sabotage attempts through misinformation.
Sharif emphasized that the current initiative differs from past military operations, aiming instead to strengthen the existing National Action Plan (NAP). He revealed that law enforcement operations are conducted continuously, with substantial progress made, although political challenges and propaganda efforts pose significant hurdles.
