Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday directed district collectors to remain vigilant in response to widespread rainfall across the state.
During a review of the rain situation, Reddy urged officials to deploy rescue teams and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to mitigate the risks posed by rising water levels in the Godavari river.
Precautionary measures were emphasized for low-lying areas and regions facing potential flooding. Reddy instructed officials to prevent people from crossing swollen rivulets and to establish control rooms in district Collectorates for enhanced coordination with police and other departments.
