A 29-year-old Indian-origin man was shot dead in front of his wife in a suspected road rage incident in Indiana. The incident occurred when Gavin Dasaur and his wife were on their way home. Officers arrived to the scene last Tuesday at around 8 pm on the city's southeast side and found Dasaur on the ground with a gunshot wound.
His wife, Viviana ZaMora, identified the victim, saying, 'I held him as he bled out and waited for the ambulance.' The couple had married just over two weeks earlier on June 29. Witnesses said the shooting happened due to a road-rage confrontation between Dasaur's black Honda and another vehicle. The suspected shooter was initially detained but released after claiming self-defense.
Video footage shows Dasaur, irate, yelling at the driver of a pickup truck while holding a handgun. After a brief confrontation, the truck driver shot multiple times, resulting in Dasaur's immediate collapse. The investigation continues as Dasaur's wife mourns his loss.
