A Border Security Force officer and a jawan succumbed to extreme heat exposure during a patrol at the 'Harami Nallah' creek area along the India-Pakistan border in Gujarat, official sources reported Saturday.
The incident, which occurred on Friday, involved an Assistant Commandant and a Head Constable who reportedly suffered from heat stroke and dehydration while patrolling the zero line, sources disclosed.
The affected BSF personnel were promptly taken to a health facility in Bhuj; however, medical efforts could not save their lives, the sources confirmed.
