Indrani Mukerjea Granted Bail to Travel to Europe Amidst Sheena Bora Murder Case

A special CBI court in Mumbai on Friday granted former media executive Indrani Mukerjea permission to travel to Europe on bail, subject to certain conditions. Mukerjea is accused of the 2012 murder of her daughter, Sheena Bora.
The court allowed Mukerjea to visit Spain and the United Kingdom for up to ten days within the next three months. During her travel, she is required to report at least once to the Indian Embassy or its diplomatic mission offices and obtain an attendance certificate.
Mukerjea also has to furnish a security deposit of Rs 2 lakh. Last month, she filed an application in court citing work-related travel needs. Mukerjea was arrested in August 2015 and was granted bail by the Supreme Court in May 2022. The CBI continues to probe the Sheena Bora murder case.
