Three associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi and US-based Goldy Brar gang have been apprehended by Punjab Police in a collaborative operation with Rajasthan Police, authorities reported on Wednesday.

The arrested individuals, identified as Gurpreet Singh of Bhikhi in Mansa, Maninder Singh alias Munshi of Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda, and Harcharanjit Singh of Bir Khurd village in Mansa, were found in possession of two pistols and six cartridges.

According to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, all three suspects have extensive criminal records, including charges of murder, attempted murder, and other offenses under the Arms Act.

DGP Yadav stated that, acting on reliable inputs, the Anti-Gangster Task Force apprehended Harcharanjit, who is wanted in an attempted murder case, during a joint operation with Rajasthan Police.

Harcharanjit's subsequent interrogation revealed that he was operating under the instructions of the notorious gangster Manpreet Singh alias Manna, currently incarcerated in Rupnagar jail, who tasked him with aiding Gurpreet and Maninder in eliminating a rival gang member.

Following this revelation, law enforcement launched a manhunt which successfully led to the arrest of the other two suspects on Mansa Road in Bathinda, the DGP confirmed.

Further investigations are ongoing to establish broader connections in the case, Yadav added.

DGP Yadav also expressed gratitude to DGP Rajasthan for their critical support to Punjab Police in this interstate operation.
