Hashim Baba, a notorious gangster currently incarcerated, is suspected to be behind the recent fatal shooting at a Delhi hospital. A Delhi Police dossier reveals that Baba is involved in 16 criminal cases, including murder and attempt to murder. Despite his 2019 arrest under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), Baba continues to control his criminal empire from behind bars.

Since his imprisonment, Baba has allegedly orchestrated multiple killings, including the notorious GTB hospital shooting. He formed an alliance with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi while in Tihar jail, aiding in the procurement of firearms for the Bishnoi gang.

Before leading his own gang, Baba was a sharpshooter for the Nassir gang in Delhi's trans-Yamuna areas. His involvement in the 2016 Karkardooma court shooting and other criminal activities underscores his significant impact on Delhi's underworld.
