The Punjab Police on Monday announced the successful dismantling of an interstate weapon smuggling module. The operation led to the arrest of two operatives connected to Canada-based terrorist Lakhbir Singh, alias Landa.

Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav stated that six pistols were recovered from Sumitpal Singh and Arpandeep Singh, hailing from villages in Tarn Taran.

Based on intelligence, police teams from Amritsar launched an operation and detained the suspects near Amritsar railway station. Preliminary investigations revealed that they acquired the weapons from an illegal dealer in Madhya Pradesh. Ongoing investigations aim to dismantle the entire smuggling network.
