Man Arrested, Juveniles Apprehended in Delhi Assault and Shooting

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and three juveniles apprehended for allegedly assaulting and shooting Abhishek Sagar in southeast Delhi's Lajpat Nagar. Sagar was beaten with sticks and shot in the leg. The primary suspect, Abhishek Taneja, was arrested with a firearm and bullets. Taneja claimed the attack was in retaliation for a past incident.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and three juveniles apprehended for allegedly assaulting and shooting at Abhishek Sagar in Southeast Delhi's Lajpat Nagar area, police officials confirmed on Sunday.

According to authorities, Sagar was beaten with sticks and sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Police were alerted on Saturday following a report of a group attacking a man and discharging a firearm. Upon arrival, officers found Sagar injured and promptly admitted him to a hospital.

Abhishek Taneja, identified as a ''bad character'' in police records, was subsequently arrested, and a pistol along with two bullets were confiscated. Three juveniles connected to the assault were also taken into custody. Police revealed that Taneja attacked Sagar to seek revenge for a previous altercation.
