Giani Raghbir Singh, the Jathedar of Akal Takht, has called on the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to display portraits of three Khalistani separatists at the central Sikh museum within the Golden Temple complex. He referred to Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Paramjit Singh Panjwar, and Gajinder Singh as martyrs of the Sikh community.

Giani Raghbir Singh emphasized that the portraits should be displayed to honor their sacrifices and contributions. Gajinder Singh, the founder of Dal Khalsa and one of the 1981 hijackers of an Indian Airlines plane, recently passed away in Pakistan due to a heart attack.

Both Hardeep Singh Nijjar and Paramjit Singh Panjwar were killed under contentious circumstances, with Nijjar's death even straining diplomatic ties between India and Canada. Panjwar, designated as a terrorist by India in 2020, was involved in smuggling and other terror-related activities.
