The incident unfolded at 6:47 PM in H Block, Lajpat Nagar Part 1, when officials received a call about a quarrel and gunfire. Upon arrival, police discovered that Abhishek Sagar, alias Katya, had sustained a gunshot wound to his left knee and was subsequently hospitalized. He is currently recuperating.

During the investigation, authorities identified Abhishek Taneja, with several criminal cases against him, as the prime suspect. Rohit Chaudhary is also under suspicion. This altercation traces back to November 2023, when Sagar fired at Chaudhary, escalating their ongoing rivalry. A case of attempted murder has been registered as the investigation continues.
