Taiwan Alerts On Rising Chinese Military Activity

Taiwan's defence ministry has raised alarms, reporting the detection of 66 Chinese military aircraft operating around the island within the past 24 hours.

This follows an earlier report on Wednesday, where 36 Chinese aircraft were observed flying to the south and southeast of Taiwan, en route to the Western Pacific.

The aircraft were heading to conduct military exercises with the Chinese aircraft carrier, the Shandong, said the ministry.
