On Monday, a Pakistan anti-terrorism court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

Gandapur faces charges in two violence-related cases registered at Islamabad's Sangjani and I-9 police stations, alongside other leaders including PTI founder Imran Khan. Judge Tahir Abbas Supra presided over the hearings, noting Gandapur and Amir Mughal's absence.

Expressing dissatisfaction with Gandapur's repeated absences, the court rejected his exemption plea and consequently issued arrest warrants. Similarly, warrants were issued for Mughal. ''We are issuing arrest warrants for all absent defendants,'' Judge Supra stated, warning that those absent on July 8 would be declared fugitives. The judge also asked for a written response about Imran Khan's video appearance and adjourned the hearings until July 8. Despite multiple cases, Gandapur, often seen as close to Imran Khan, deems these charges politically motivated.
