Superintendent of Police Abraham T Sangma stated that all six individuals, including the woman's close relatives, were detained shortly after the video's circulation. ''While two were picked up from the village, the others surrendered voluntarily. They have been brought to the district headquarters,'' Sangma said.

Reacting to the incident, the State Women's Commission has taken suo-moto cognisance and dispatched a team to meet the victim.
