In a heart-wrenching incident in Hansi town, a newly married couple, Tejveer (27) and Meena (24), were killed in a suspected honour killing. The couple, residents of Badala and Sultanpur villages respectively, were sitting in Lala Hukam Chand Jain Park when unidentified assailants opened fire on them on Monday morning.

According to police, the attack resulted in the immediate death of both individuals. On the basis of a complaint by Tejveer's father, Mehtab Singh, a case has been registered at the Hansi city police station.

The case names 11 suspects, including Meena's father Subhash, brother Sachin, and uncle Mangtu, as well as other relatives. They face charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including murder, and provisions of the Arms Act. Police assure that the accused will be apprehended soon.
