Participants wielded sharp-edged weapons, bricks, and lathis during the clash, which occurred in the Thanabhawan area on Sunday evening, authorities said.

To maintain order, security has been fortified and extra police forces have been deployed in the area.

The incident claimed the life of Zulfikar, 40, and also left ten others injured, Superintendent of Police Abhishek told reporters.

The conflict sparked when Intazar and Guddi were confronted by Zulfikar and his group over a land dispute, the SP disclosed.

The injured parties were immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
