A 23-year-old Bangladeshi man, who came to India for medical treatment, has been missing for three days in Kolkata, according to police reports on Saturday.

Identified as Mohammed Dilwar Hossain from Hemayetpur in Pabna Sadar upazila of Bangladesh's Pabna district, he was last seen on Wednesday.

Following a complaint by his family at the Park Street police station, a search operation was commenced, authorities stated.

"CCTV footage shows him wandering the Maidan area in a relaxed manner. After that, he disappeared. We are conducting extensive searches. Police in neighboring cities have also been notified," a police officer reported.

Hossain arrived in Kolkata last week with his family for medical reasons, the officer confirmed.
