In a stern demand, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has called on the government to impose strict actions against the main culprits behind the NEET-UG question paper leak. Mayawati stressed on Friday that innocent students have been the victims of this scandal, and political exploitation of this situation is unjustifiable.

The NEET-UG exam, which was conducted on May 5 across 4,750 centres, saw around 24 lakh candidates appear nationwide. Initially scheduled for a June 14 results declaration, the results came out early on June 4, as the evaluation process concluded sooner than expected.

Notably, 67 students scored a perfect 720, an unprecedented feat in the history of the National Testing Agency (NTA). Six of these top scorers were from a single centre in Faridabad, Haryana, causing further suspicions of irregularities. Allegations have emerged suggesting that grace marks played a role in these top scores.
