On Wednesday, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) solemnly paid floral tributes to its jawan who tragically lost his life in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district.
The two terrorists responsible for the attack in a Kathua village late Tuesday night were neutralized in the ensuing encounter. In the confrontation, one CRPF jawan, Kabir Das, was martyred and a civilian was injured.
A wreath-laying ceremony was held to honor Kabir Das, attended by senior CRPF and police officials. His mortal remains are being transported to his hometown in Madhya Pradesh. Das was scheduled to go on leave next week.
Additional Director General of Police Anand Jain paid homage, stating, "He sacrificed his life while fighting with courage and bravery. We salute his martyrdom."
