Following a tip-off, authorities raided Paraiya village in Tebo police station area on Saturday, discovering 2,100 kg of poppy husk stored in 83 plastic bags, according to Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar.
The contraband was concealed in a bush near the Chaki river. Police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and are actively searching for the perpetrators.
