Former French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe is co-operating with authorities after financial prosecutors had earlier conducted a search at his mayoral office in the northern coastal town of Le Havre, his mayoral office said on Wednesday.
"The Mayor, its elected officials and Le Havre's municipal services are entirely and calmly at the disposal of the prosecutor to give over in their entirety any further elements necessary for the probe," said Le Havre city hall in a statement.
