Thailand's jailed former premier Thaksin Shinawatra has completed parole proceedings and has formally been released from his detention, his lawyer said, after the tycoon was seen early Sunday in a vehicle leaving the hospital where he has been held since August.
"He has left the police hospital," Thaksin's lawyer Winyat Chartmontri told Reuters.
