- France
French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed on Wednesday the agreement between Israel and Hamas to a four-day pause in fighting to allow the release of 50 hostages held in Gaza in exchange for 150 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel, and for the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave.
"We are working non-stop so that all the hostages are freed," added Macron in a post on social media network X.
The French presidency did not return requests for a comment on French media reports that three French hostages could be liberated initially.
