Following a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake that rippled through Myanmar, Thailand, China, and Vietnam, Indian tourists in Bangkok faced a nerve-wracking ordeal, but ultimately returned safely to New Delhi Airport. Bharati Khurana shared with ANI that the closure of all commercial spaces led to difficulties in securing transportation to the airport.

"While the situation is stable now, yesterday presented significant challenges," Khurana explained. "With the market shut down due to the emergency, obtaining taxis or emergency vehicles was nearly impossible." Pranav, another Indian tourist, recounted how panic ensued when the hotel they stayed at began to shake violently.

In another account, John, a tourist in Bangkok's bustling Chinatown, described the chaotic scenes as floors trembled beneath shoppers' feet, leading to panicked screams and rapid exits via narrow passages. The earthquake also caused a 30-storey under-construction building to collapse, resulting in deaths, injuries, and missing persons, as detailed by Bangkok Deputy Governor Tavida Kamolvej.
