In an unprecedented move, Russian companies made their inaugural appearance at the Smart Cities India Expo, as reported by TV BRICS. The participation, facilitated by the Russian Export Centre (REC), marks a significant step in enhancing Russian commercial presence in India.
Anna Benediktova, a representative of REC in India, highlighted the longstanding operations of some Russian firms within the Indian market. According to Benediktova, these exhibitions serve as beneficial forums for both seasoned businesses and those new to the region.
During the expo, the REC arranged over 150 b2b meetings for the Russian participants, fostering opportunities to strike deals and strengthen business ties. The event, seen as a reflection of India's evolving economic landscape, serves to propel nation-building efforts and stimulate discussions on digital growth and entrepreneurship, attracting numerous government and private sector representatives.
