The Balochistan Post reported that Dr. Baloch criticized the severe conditions in Balochistan, describing an environment of increasing brutality targeting the community.
She condemned the heavy-handed state tactics, including illegal arrests and the use of tear gas and firearms, as ineffective measures that have long alienated the Baloch people since the annexation of the Kalat State in 1948. Dr. Baloch stressed that the recent crackdown, resulting in about 200 detentions over three days, signifies a continued effort to suppress peaceful human rights movements.
Highlighting recent incidents such as the raid on Gulzadi Baloch's home and the detention of minors, Dr. Baloch expressed grave concerns for the safety of Baloch women and children. She underscored the role of powerful figures in perpetuating conflict, noting their vested interests in a divided Balochistan.
