In a significant development, Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has criticized the Shin Bet's secret investigation into alleged far-right ideologies within the Israeli Police. Speaking during a faction meeting, he accused Shin Bet head Ronen Bar of staging a plot against Police Commissioner Danny Levy.

Ben Gvir defended Commissioner Levy, praising his three decades of service and suggesting the investigation was a targeted operation against him. He underscored that there is no far-right extremist influence within the police or prison services, contradicting the investigation's alleged findings.

Claiming the probe is a conspiracy against his political agenda, Ben Gvir condemned Ronen Bar's actions and vowed to push for a government inquiry. He called Bar a criminal and affirmed his commitment to exposing the truth, stating: "I won't remain silent."
