Business leaders and economists are issuing stark warnings about the adverse effects of the U.S.-China trade war on China's export sector, as reported by Radio Free Asia (RFA). U.S. tariffs imposed under President Donald Trump have reached 20 percent on Chinese goods, contributing to a strained economic environment for Chinese exporters.

According to an electronics trading executive in Shenzhen, China's export volume has dwindled, with competitors from other nations seizing market opportunities. Official data shows a modest 2.3 percent increase in exports for January and February, falling short of the predicted 5 percent, marking a decline compared to the previous year's growth.

Economist Wang Ting from Guizhou has noted the ongoing struggles of manufacturers due to tariffs. The Trump administration's actions have accelerated the shift of manufacturing out of China, with many companies opting for Vietnam as an alternative. This shift highlights the impact of tariffs on China's economy, currently battling a recession and high unemployment rates, further unsettling investor confidence.
