During his visit to Mauritius, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted a traditional Banarasi saree, encased in a Sadeli box, to First Lady Brinda Gokhool. The exquisite saree, known for its luxurious silk and intricate zari work, represents a rich cultural heritage from Varanasi.
Complementing the elegant garment, PM Modi presented holy Sangam water from Mahakumbh, housed in a Brass and Copper pot, alongside the superfood Makhana to Mauritius President Dharambeer Gokhool. His presence at the Mauritius National Day celebrations emphasized the robust diplomatic and cultural connections between India and Mauritius.
