Authorities have identified Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, as the primary suspect in what has been labeled a terror attack in New Orleans. According to senior US law enforcement officials, Jabbar drove into a crowd on Bourbon Street while brandishing an ISIS flag.
Upon investigation, officers found several suspected explosive devices in the car used in the attack. Jabbar, who was reportedly a US citizen from Texas with previous military service, was shot and killed by police at the scene.
President Joe Biden swiftly condemned the incident, emphasizing there is no justification for violence.
