In a significant move to aid foreign travels, the Chinese Embassy in India announced the extension of reduced visa fees until December 31, 2025. The single entry visa fee for visitors is Rs 2,900, and Rs 4,400 for double entry, continuing previous cost-cutting measures put in place last year.
The fee structure for multiple entries remains unchanged, with a six-month multi-entry set at Rs 5,900, and 12 months or more at Rs 8,800. Group and official group visa applicants will pay Rs 1,800. This announcement parallels a bilateral consensus between India and China regarding the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the achievement of mutual consensus as proof of effective dialogue, emphasizing the Indian Army's readiness to uphold stability along borders. Infrastructure along these borders is being enhanced, aligning with the 'Viksit Bharat Vision' to ensure national security.
