In a press conference at the Numaish Chowrangi sit-in, Majlis-e-Wahdate Muslimeen (MWM) leader Allama Hasan Zafar Naqvi declared that the ongoing sit-ins are peaceful, non-political gatherings, urging the Sindh government not to exploit them for political gains. He noted the movement would cease if the Parachinar community concludes their protests.
Naqvi warned that widespread sit-ins could occur if undue pressure is placed on the Jafariya community. Highlighting the enduring nature of the demonstrations, he affirmed they are free from sectarian biases, welcoming participation from people of diverse faiths to express solidarity at the protests.
Addressing logistical challenges faced by the Parachinar region, Naqvi highlighted issues such as population density affecting relief efforts, underscoring that the sit-ins represent the grievances of the oppressed rather than any political faction. He acknowledged the involvement of various community organizations, including support from Ahle Sunnat to provide for protesters.
