Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi convened a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister's Secretariat to deliberate on the province's law and order situation following a devastating blast at Quetta Railway Station.

The explosion, which occurred on Saturday, tragically claimed 26 lives and left 62 others injured, as confirmed by local authorities and hospital officials. During the meeting, a preliminary report on the incident was discussed. ARY News reports that the leaders resolved to take decisive action against the perpetrators, expanding intelligence-based operations to counter the threats posed by anti-state elements.

Interior Minister Naqvi pledged federal government support, asserting that resources would be dispatched to Balochistan on a priority basis. The ministers expressed solidarity with the victims' families, emphasizing the collective responsibility of Pakistani citizens in the fight against terrorism.

Chief Minister Bugti reiterated efforts to stabilize law and order, noting that only a handful of elements were involved in terrorism within the province. High-ranking officials, including the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, IG Police Balochistan, and Quetta Division Commissioner, were present at the meeting as well.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the blast. Meanwhile, an emergency has been declared in local hospitals, where the injured are receiving medical care, according to Provincial Health Department spokesperson Wasim Baig.
