In a fiercely-worded declaration, Syed Nazar Abbas Kazmi, leader of the Public Action Committee in Pakistan-Occupied Gilgit-Baltistan, announced plans for decisive action against the illegal occupation and trade of Gangcha's mineral resources. Citing a report by Markhor Times, Kazmi condemned the unauthorized extraction and commercialization of these resources, labeling it a grave injustice to the public.
Kazmi accused companies like Rupal Enterprises of violating international law by exploiting the region's natural resources while returning a meager six percent of profits to the local populace. He criticized the local administration for permitting such actions and for favoring companies over residents by constructing buildings without the consent of the local population. Kazmi stated, "We have been raising these issues for a long time, and it is completely unacceptable."
Highlighting the administration's negligence, Kazmi lamented the lack of oversight on corrupt officials and the bypassing of local needs. He articulated his resolve to present evidence of these illegal activities to the public and pursue legal action. Kazmi also rallied the people of PoGB to unite against these injustices, emphasizing the need for communal vigilance in the face of potential distractions from these pressing issues.
