Members of the Hindu Sikh Global Forum took to the streets in Chanakyapuri, Delhi, protesting outside the Canadian High Commission against attacks on Hindu temples in Canada. The Delhi Police responded by increasing security measures, eventually halting the demonstrators.
The forum, representing a coalition of Hindu and Sikh communities, organized the protest to express collective disapproval and demand action in response to the attacks. Jitender Singh Shunty, President of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal, stated his concerns over recurring incidents targeting these communities.
Protesters highlighted past violence and drug issues undermining their communities, further disrupted by forced conversions and recent attacks on temples. Marwah emphasized the Sikh community's unity, rejecting separatist ideologies and reaffirming allegiance to India, amid rising India-Canada diplomatic tensions.
