Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov is scheduled to visit India from November 11 to 12. This visit is part of a working trip aimed at bolstering bilateral ties between the two nations. On November 11, Manturov will attend the plenary session of the Russian-Indian Business Forum in Mumbai, which will emphasize expanding economic and business cooperation, according to the Russian Embassy in India.

The forum will host multiple thematic sessions, covering topics such as industrial collaboration, transport and logistics, finance, digital technologies, and interregional cooperation. Organized by the Business Council for Cooperation with India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the event serves as a pivotal platform for nurturing stronger economic links between the two countries.

On November 12, Manturov will meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Delhi for the 25th Session of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation. This session will review the progress of ongoing bilateral initiatives and explore potential new areas of partnership. Manturov is expected to conduct a series of bilateral discussions with key Indian leaders to advance strategic cooperation.

Last month, PM Modi attended the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, held under Moscow's presidency. He described the summit as 'very productive,' expressing gratitude to President Putin and the Russian people for their hospitality. Prior to this, Modi also made a bilateral visit to Russia for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit with President Putin. He was awarded the 'Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle' for his efforts in strengthening ties between New Delhi and Moscow.
