Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has made a strong campaign promise to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza, bring hostages back to the United States, and ensure both Israel's security and the Palestinian right to dignity and self-determination. Speaking at a rally in Michigan, just days before the presidential elections, Harris expressed her commitment to diplomatic resolutions for lasting peace.
Addressing the rally, Harris stated, "This year has been challenging, marked by the severe destruction in Gaza and the displacement of civilians in Lebanon. If elected President, I will prioritize ending the war, securing the return of hostages, and safeguarding both Israeli security and Palestinian rights." Harris also emphasized the need for a new generation of leadership to fight for healthcare accessibility, affordable living, and lower taxes.
In addition to foreign policy, Harris promised to tackle domestic issues, including lowering healthcare costs, making housing affordable, and safeguarding reproductive rights. She vowed to make healthcare a right for all Americans and fight corporate exploitation in the marketplace. As the election approaches, Harris, who is in a tight race with Republican candidate Donald Trump, aims to become the first female President of the United States.
