The Sharjah Museums Authority is set to host the SAWA Conference, titled 'A Decade of Cross-Cultural Museum Learning,' from November 4th to 5th, 2024. This event marks ten years of the influential SAWA Museum Studies Programme, a collaboration with the Berlin State Museums and other German cultural entities.
This hybrid conference, featuring both in-person and virtual participation, underscores the achievements of the SAWA programme in transforming the cultural sector and strengthening UAE-Germany relations. Organized with strategic support from local and international partners, it aims to further cultural exchange and community engagement.
Attendees of the conference will participate in dynamic discussions on museum learning while benefitting from keynotes by notable figures like Sheikh Fahim AlQasimi and Sybille Pfaff.
