As Kazakhstan prepares to celebrate its Republic Day on October 25, the country's Ambassador to India, Nurlan Zhalgasbayev, has outlined an ambitious roadmap for Kazakhstan to establish itself as a significant global player. In a recent interview with ANI, Ambassador Zhalgasbayev emphasized the historical importance of this day, marking the 1990 adoption of the Declaration on State Sovereignty of Kazakhstan.
The Ambassador highlighted the declaration as a pivotal moment that underscored Kazakhstan's dedication to fostering national identity, emphasizing principles such as territorial integrity and cultural development. Further cementing its sovereign status, Kazakhstan adopted a constitutional law in 1991, embedding these ideas into the 1995 constitution.
Discussing Kazakhstan's progressive strides, Ambassador Zhalgasbayev praised the country's democratization efforts, robust economic growth, and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's reform agenda, which prioritizes digitalisation, industrialisation, and environmental sustainability. He also spotlighted Kazakhstan's appeal as a business hub, boasting initiatives like KAZAKH INVEST and the burgeoning Astana International Financial Centre, instrumental in attracting substantial foreign investment and fostering international trade relationships.
